Kay has a background of over twelve years in corporate business in human resource management at Kentucky-American Water and Samaritan Hospital.  However, for the past several years, she has taught in higher education at the Community College and University level.  She has also worked at various colleges such as Midway University (Admissions), Kentucky Community and Technical College System (Director of Adult Education), Berea College (Human Resources) and Eastern Kentucky University (Dean, College of Education) In addition, she has been an instructor and administrator in the field of adult education where she made her career of twenty years working for adult education programs in the state of Kentucky.  For the last seven years, Kay has been the sole proprietor of KC Educational Consulting where she provides educational consulting services for Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, Kentucky and serves as a Professional Learning Coach for Kentucky Skills U in Kentucky through the National Center for Families Learning. Kay also provides training and technical services for various small businesses.
