About

David Manley

David Manley’s musical experience has encompassed four decades of performance, pedagogy, accompaniment, and writing. He received his B.A. in Music at CSU Chico (piano performance and composition) and undertook graduate studies in composition at CSU San Francisco. Manley’s diverse range of musical interests has included a variety of instrumental studies (piano, harpsichord, violin, viola, & guitar) & performing styles (classical, jazz, pop, rock & musical theater). He has worked for many years as Accompanist, Vocal Coach, Music Director, and Choral Director for Bay Area choral organizations (The Mayflower Chorus, etc.) & musical theater companies (Palo Alto Players, etc.). Popular music adventures have included experience as songwriter & performer (guitar, violin & vocals) for various rock bands (The Wayward Bus, etc.) and solo projects. Jazz & Blues experiences have included lessons with jazz pianist Adam Domash, weekly gigs (The Lone Palm – San Francisco, etc.) and caberet performances (Miss Rayna Dae, etc.).
