Federal Work Study (FWS)

The Federal Work Study is a partially federally funded program permitting eligible students to work on campus to help defray educational expenses and reduce loan obligations. This program provides jobs for students' financial needs (cost of attendance - EFC - awarded aid). If you are a full time student, you may work up to 20 hours per week depending on you academic load and Federal Work Study award. The hourly rate offered by University of Silicon Valley is comparable to local rates for similar types of employment. Students may work in an office, for a professor or for a college department on special projects.
