However you want to describe our Resident Assistants (RAs), just know that they’re here to help you live your most epic life while you’re at USV. These student leaders have your back by offering support and guidance when you need it and take the lead on hosting all kinds of social activities that will help you find those BFFs for life who just get you, because they’re a lot like you. 

Things You Need to Know

USV student housing consists of 3 luxury apartment complexes – Verdant, Venue, & Elan that are within walking distance from campus less than 1/4 mile from the Baypointe and Tasman Light Rail stations. The apartments offer plenty of storage, assigned parking, pool, fitness room, and washers and dryers.

Each student housing package includes: rent for 4 months (1 term), furniture (twin bed, dresser, nightstand, desk, sofa and chair, dining table with chairs, and lamps); electricity (up to $100 per month); water and sewer; internet; and an RA program (peer mentoring, free student activities, etc.).

Student housing comes largely furnished, with appliances and major furniture already installed in each unit. However, entertainment, supplies, toiletries, and utensils will be up to you to bring into your new dragon lair. Consider the following list of things to bring:

Living room:

  • TV
  • TV stand
  • Computer and printer

Bedroom: 

  • Sheets, blankets, pillows, and pillow cases for a twin sized bed
  • Clothes hangers
  • Headphones

Bathroom:

  • Toiletries
  • Toilet paper
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Shower curtain and liner
  • Hand soap
  • Towels

Kitchen:

  • Silverware
  • Dishes
  • Cooking Utensils
  • Pots and pans
  • Kitchen towels
  • Garbage bags and trash can
  • Food and spices

Cleaning supplies: 

  • Gloves
  • Sponges
  • Vacuum, mop, and/or broom
  • Laundry basket
  • Laundry detergent

When moving into student housing, please leave the following items at home:

  • Candles and vape pens
  • Alcohol and other controlled substances
  • Swords, firearms, and other weapons
  • Fireworks
  • Large furniture
  • Animals and pets

It’s super easy to apply for student housing, just click the Apply For Student Housing button below and pay the non-refundable housing application fee and you’ll be good to go! Click the link below to pay with a debit or credit card or use your PayPal account and send the fee to paypal@usv.edu. Make sure to include the student’s first and last name and you’re on your way to USV life!
 
Spring 2025 Housing Application Deadline: November 15, 2024
 
If you are currently in student housing and intend to remain for the next trimester, please submit complete the Intent to Renew form in the Student Portal. 

If you are currently in student housing and intend to vacate at the end of the trimester, please complete the Intent to Vacate form in the Student Portal.

Who Is Eligible?

As long as you’re enrolled in at least 9 credits in the Fall and Spring semesters, you’re eligible. And don’t stress because you can apply at any point during your years at USV.
