Before You Graduate

USV Career Ready Plan

At every stage of the plan, you can count on real support from our career services squad. You’ll go one-on-one with a Career Advisor whose mission is to help you finish the game.

STAGE 1: PREPARE

This is the prep part of the plan. You’ll start by doing a deep dive into - you! We’ll help you figure out what your ideal future looks like and how you get there.

STAGE 2: EXPLORE

Now the fun really begins when you get knee deep in everything you need to know about the career you’re headed towards. You’ll get the inside scoop on all of it - from what kind of skills the companies you want to work for are looking for, to how much you can expect to earn. We’ll help you build a bomb resume, and you’ll be cranking away on a portfolio that will grab the attention of those rockstar companies you dream about working for.

STAGE 3: DEVELOP

You’re really rolling now, and it’s almost that time where you start walking the walk and putting what you’ve learned into practice in the real world.

Game on…

STAGE 4: LAUNCH

It’s game on at this stage. You’ll be doing the things that will launch your career the right way like finalizing that show-stopping portfolio and getting practice to nail those interviews that are right around the corner after graduation. Our graduate employment assistance also offers mock interviews (from setup to follow-up) so you’re more than ready when it’s time for the real thing.
