About

Dr. Shane Jensen

Dr. Shane Jensen brings more than 25 years of experience in P-12 and higher education to his role at the University of Silicon Valley. Known for fostering inclusive and innovative learning environments, he has extensive expertise in social identity, relational leadership, performing arts curriculum design, teacher mentorship, and LGBTQIA+ research.

As a published author, Dr. Jensen focuses on leadership identity and inclusive educational practices, and is currently working on a publication centering participant perspectives in qualitative research. His academic journey began in secondary music education, evolving into broader roles that support performing arts education and leadership.

A frequent conference presenter, Dr. Jensen shares insights on music education, gender identity, inclusivity, and social-emotional learning. He is also a Fulbright-Hays Scholar and holds postgraduate certificates in School Improvement and Leadership, and Social-Emotional Learning. Dr. Jensen is passionate about advancing authentic, student-centered learning experiences.
