About Roopa Madhvapathy
General Education
Roopa Madhvapathy is a General Education Adjunct Professor at the University of Silicon Valley and a Senator on the Faculty Senate. She brings over 25 years of teaching experience to her role, offering courses that range from Composition and Research Paper Writing to Horror Films, Science Fiction Cinema, and World Drama.
Roopa is dedicated to creating inclusive and interactive classroom environments where students are empowered to explore diverse perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, effective communication, and supporting students in both their academic and personal growth.
She holds a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature and continues to challenge and inspire students through thoughtfully designed courses that encourage intellectual curiosity and creativity.
