About Robert Steinberg

Business Administration

Robert Steinberg is an adjunct faculty member in Business Administration at the University of Silicon Valley. For more than 35 years, he has been a value creator, entrepreneur, and technologist, working with advanced technology companies such as Zilog Inc., Plexus Computers, and Data Pathing (a division of NCR). In these roles, he specialized in technical marketing and business development for distributed computer systems.

In 1987, Robert became a primary co-founder of IICON Corporation—a company focused on Human-Machine Interface, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and defense markets. He served as the company’s President and led business development and strategic management for 18 years.

After his career in industry, Robert transitioned into academia, applying his cumulative knowledge to a wide range of business topics. He has taught at institutions including San Jose State University, Cogswell College, and DeVry University. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of San Francisco.
