About Preeti Mohindru

Math & Science

Preeti Mohindru joined USV College in 2016. Prior to joining USV, she worked as a teaching assistant, lab instructor and invited lecturer at the University of Guelph in Canada. As a mathematics instructor, her aim is to develop students’ problem solving skills, to ensure that they understand relevant concepts, and to encourage them to communicate mathematical results and ideas clearly.Preeti holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Guelph in Canada. In her doctoral program, she solved a famous mathematical problem – developing a proof for the DJL Conjecture for CP Matrices over Special Semirings – which had gone unsolved for twenty years. Her areas of specialization are Matrix Theory, Semiring Theory, Linear Algebra, Graph Theory and Combinatorics.
