About Dr. Peter Esperanza

General Education

Dr. Peter Esperanza is a mathematics professor with over 20 years of teaching experience. He spent his first 15 years as a high school teacher before transitioning to higher education, where he continues to inspire students in mathematics and beyond.

Beyond the classroom, Dr. Esperanza is a published research author and an active presenter at conferences and seminars. He conducts workshops sharing his expertise in online education, leveraging multimedia technology, and promoting content creation to boost student engagement on digital platforms.

He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Education, a Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics (MAT), and a Ph.D. in Development Education. His academic background is matched by his passion for innovation in teaching and learning.

Dr. Esperanza is also the creator of “Numberbender,” an educational content platform with more than half a million followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. His work blends traditional teaching with new technologies, including flipped learning, AI-powered platforms and immersive virtual reality experiences. Dedicated to making math accessible and engaging, he empowers students—especially those who doubt their skills—to succeed in STEM and thrive in higher education.
