About Julius Dobos
Digital Audio Technology
Julius Dobos brings over three decades of professional experience as an award-winning composer of electronic and film music, sound synthesist, sound designer, music director and audio engineer. He is internationally recognized for his music in major motion pictures and television, including You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Zookeeper, Mall Cop, NCIS, and Dragon Ball Z. He has released eleven electronic and electro-orchestral albums (including a platinum record), produced music featuring Grammy®-awarded artists, and mastered hundreds of music titles. He has beta-tested music- and audio tools for Roland, Avid, iyO, Plugin Alliance and created sounds for dozens of plugins used by producers worldwide. He has given performances around the globe, from traditional concerts to interactive music shows. Julius is also a spatial composition pioneer, guest speaker, and published author.
In addition to teaching a wide range of audio and music technology courses, serving as senior portfolio advisor, Julius conceptualized USV MediaWorks in 2013 and has been leading it as Music & Audio Director for MediaWorks and Project X.
