About Ferda Kavak

Computer Science

Ferda Kavak is an experienced technology leader and educator with over 25 years of expertise in IT, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and technical support operations. Currently, he serves as the Senior Product Support Manager for Interoperability and NOC at Philips Healthcare, where he leads support for enterprise-level systems in hospital environments.

Since 2021, Ferda has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Silicon Valley, where he teaches courses such as AWS Cloud Foundations, Fundamentals of Computing (using C and Python), Mobile Programming with Flutter/Dart, and Cybersecurity. His teaching journey began as a computer programming instructor at Miami Technical College, which launched his extensive career in the U.S.

With a strong academic foundation holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Lynn University, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and a Master of Engineering in Cloud Computing Management from The George Washington University, Ferda leverages his industry and classroom experiences to provide students with practical, real-world insights into modern technology and computing.
