David Lopez

David Lopez is a seasoned professional in the gaming industry, bringing over a decade of experience in shaping immersive virtual worlds to his role as a Game Design & Development Adjunct Professor at the University of Silicon Valley. He currently serves as Lead Environment Artist at Iron Galaxy Studios, where he is contributing to the highly anticipated Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4.

Throughout his career, David has made impactful contributions to acclaimed projects including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, Magic: Legends, and various visual development projects in Unreal Engine 5 across multiple genres. With 16 titles released, his expertise in intellectual property development and procedural content creation has played a pivotal role in delivering engaging gaming experiences.

Alongside his industry achievements, David has been dedicated to education for over six years at USV. He helps students develop critical thinking skills, explore their creative potential, and navigate their unique career paths. His dual commitment to both professional game development and teaching reflects his passion for inspiring and mentoring the next generation of game developers.
