About Charles Kinter
Computer Science
Charles Kinter is an adjunct faculty member in Computer Science at the University of Silicon Valley. With over 20 years of experience spanning digital entertainment, information technology, and maker space entrepreneurship, Charles brings a wealth of practical, hands-on knowledge into every classroom.
He is the owner of Serial Hobbyists, LLC, and currently works as an electronics engineer for an escape room, where he designs immersive practical effects and interactive experiences. Across all his roles, Charles is passionate about process improvement and tool design—creating custom solutions that make workflows more efficient and impactful.
In his own words, “No matter where you are, if someone can make you a tool to make your job easier, that person is worth their weight in gold.” Outside of teaching and engineering, Charles is a husband, father, gamer, avid reader, and anime enthusiast.
