About Brian Gibbs
Digital Audio Technology
Brian (Bt) "Gibbs" is co-owner & principal at Skyline Entertainment & Publishing (at Tool Shed Studios) in Silicon Valley. With over a half-billion record credits across Alternative, Rock, Pop, Country, Jazz and Latin genres and co-engineering a Latin album with a GRAMMY win (Los Tigres del Norte) in 2016.
Gibbs uses his degree from Berklee College of Music (Jazz Composition) as a record producer & mixing engineer. He is also a 15-year Recording Academy voting member, serving on the Board of Governors for the San Francisco chapter for 5+ years and National Producers & Engineers Wing Advisory Council.
Gibbs is a 7-time Music Advocacy Day Captain for the Recording Academy, active AES member for multiple committees, while currently participating as both a GRAMMY U mentor, along with an alumni mentor for his alma mater Berklee College of Music helping to develop the next generation of creators.
He is also currently the Co-Chair (with Russ Long) for the AES 161st Convention Fall of 2026 in Nashville, TN.
