Student Records in the Event of Institutional Closure
Student Records in the Event of Institutional Closure
In the event that the University of Silicon Valley ceases operations, the institution is committed to ensuring the permanent preservation and accessibility of student academic records.
Official student records, including transcripts and academic history, will be transferred to the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE), in accordance with applicable state regulations.
Once records are transferred, former students and alumni will be able to request official transcripts and obtain verification of academic history directly through the designated process established by BPPE or its authorized records custodian.
The University may also, at its discretion, enter into agreements with an accredited institution or qualified third-party records management provider to support long-term access and service continuity, provided such arrangements meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
The University will provide advance notice and clear instructions to students and alumni regarding how to access their records, including contact information and request procedures.
